MMDA Number Coding Scheme Suspension in 2018 Christmas and New Year Holidays
It was announced by one of the leading local newspapers in the Philippines. The MMDA number coding scheme is officially not in effect or suspended during Christmas and New Year holidays in 2018. Dates covering the scheme suspension includes December 24 – January 2 for private vehicles and traffic reduction for public buses is suspended up to January 2 also. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has announced the coding scheme suspension last December 20, according to a Philippine Star article which can be found here.
Meanwhile, another announcement from a prestigious car related blog, the Top Gear has caught my attention and allegedly created confusion to the public. The announcement was accordingly seen thru the official social media pages of MMDA presumably in Twitter or Facebook or Instagram. You can read the caption of the UVVRP traffic coding scheme advisory below which we took from Top Gear. Other information for window hours are posted at the official website of LTFRB, LTO and MMDA respectively. Don’t forget to check on those websites accordingly for proper guidance.
“Advisory: Awtomatikong suspendido ang number-coding scheme saDecember 24, 25, at 31 na idineklarang holidays,” the MMDA said in its post. “Suspendido na rin ito sa mga araw ng December 26, 27, at 28 para sa mas maginhawang byahe ng lahat. Planuhin na ang inyong mga lakad ngayong Kapaskuhan.”
